TA is available for courses that are offered in the classroom or by distance learning and is part of an approved academic degree or certificate program. The courses must be offered by schools that are registered in GoArmyEd, are accredited by accrediting agencies that are recognized by the U. In addition to degree programs, TA is available to Soldiers to complete a high school diploma and certificate programs. By law, officers who use TA incurs a service obligation. The Services are authorized to establish Service specific eligibility criteria to manage TA funds. The 39 semester hour limit applies to all credits taken after completion of a baccalaureate degree.

Once your GoArmyEd account has been claimed and updated with the degree you will be pursuing, and Liberty University has been chosen as the home institution, you will be ready to proceed with the steps below. You can visit GoArmyEd. Step 1: Decide your Course Schedule Contact your Academic Advisor to review your account and assist with your course selection or work with your admissions counselor if this is your first semester.

You may contact an advisor by calling or by emailing luoadvising liberty. You will not enroll in your courses through Liberty University. You will only need to enroll in your courses through the GoArmyEd portal. Make note of the course subject code and number ex: ENGL , and the dates that you would like to take the course start and end date.

You will need this information to enroll in the course on GoArmyEd. If you have never done this before, your local Education Office will be able to assist you. Please note the registration dates for GoArmyEd on our Dates and Deadlines page, as this will determine whether your desired course will be available in the portal. An advisor will review this request and proceed with enrolling you in the selected course s. You will receive a confirmation email when you are registered in the course s with Liberty.

The approved TA funds will likewise be posted to your account automatically within the following business days. Monitor your Liberty email account for confirmation of when these actions take place. Financial Check-In is the final step in the enrollment process and must be completed before you can start courses.

Read about scholarships specifically for you. The discount for Federal employees and their spouses and eligible dependents will be applied to out-of-state tuition and specialty graduate programs. It does not apply to doctoral programs. This discount cannot be combined with the Completion Scholarship for Maryland community college students or the Pennsylvania Completion Scholarship. Undergraduate and standard graduate program tuition for students who meet the criteria for Maryland residency will be the applicable in-state rate. Public Health Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; and the spouses and dependents of these student groups will be the applicable military or specialty rate.
