Kazrara The main thing about these books I like: I had to remind myself that she was only 16 or 17 years old, and she was put in a world where no one knew or trusted her. Beth is awesome and her books are too. Knife of Never Letting Go, The. These days Elder is trying the middle path, but there are too many bumps in his the road, and he is young and he has no one to give him advices, and everywhere he turns his head he sees people trying to hide things from him or to revolt against his will. The planet is habitable but inhospitable. A pleasant science fiction novel.

This was more engaging than the first in the series When I read Across the Universe, I had some problems with it, but they were easily overlooked. Similar to the first book, the plot was interesting, and the twists were pretty cool. What bothered me was It was just added to give the story a plot, but the whole time I was thinking "this is so stupid".
The idea of the inhabitants of Godspeed getting restless and rebellions threatened should have been the main storyline. Neither of them have personalities. Amy makes no effort to get along with the people. No, instead she hides in the Recorder Hall. And Elder. Oh, Elder. He never does anything, never acts. The only thing he did was get a police force or tell everyone on the ship a secret without thinking of consequences. The problem with Elder is that he never grows into a leader.
I kept on waiting for him to realize something, to suddenly take charge and make stuff happen. But now "love" is being thrown around. Elder and Amy knew each other for days in the first book, then three months later, A Million Suns happens.
It was so irritating to hear Elder and Amy think of how they love each other. There was some good in this story, believe it or not. I loved the twists excluding the last one , and for all its faults, A Million Suns is strangely easy to read.
What bothers me about this series is that it could be so good. If the characters were more dynamic, the romance somewhat realistic, and more time spent on the unrest of the citizens of Godspeed, it could have be really good.

I like to think that, anyway. I roll my thumb over the biometric scanner and the door zips open, taking with it the image of a face that has never felt like mine. A very mechanical smell—a mixture of metal and grease and burning—wraps around me as I enter the Engine Room. The first-level Shippers stand at attention, waiting for me. The Engine Room is usually crowded, bustling with activity as the Shippers try to figure out what has crippled the lead-cooled fast reactor engine, but today I asked for a private meeting with the top ten Shippers, the highest-ranking officers beneath me.

Kagatilar After being enslaved to Phydus for years, some are depressed, rebellious and paranoid. Everywhere she looks, she sees the walls of the spaceship Godspeed. There were some really good lines, but then it felt as though Revis was trying too hard. To see what your friends thought of this book, please sign up. She wants him to choose her first and he did. The mystery is so good in this one!

Hear that, Kennedy?! So I think, in a way, I am prone to getting swept away with this series. And just as with Across the Universe, I was immediately sucked into the story, walking around my house with my face glued to the book, sitting on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the mysteries surrounding Godspeed. Because if there is one Actual rating: 3.
