A couple of things hit me while reading this book that maybe I should have realised before. And in the last book, Bleeding Hearts, Christabel gets turned into a vampire, I would have liked to see how she was dealing with this but we only get a couple of glimpses of her. Another thing, personally for me, I feel there are just too many characters, tribes and rituals and I was just completely losing track of who and what everything was. Maybe a re-read of the entire series after the release of the last book will change my opinion. I still really enjoyed Lucy and Nicholas in this one, though I would have preferred more interaction between the two.

Blood Prophecy by Alyxandra Harvey, now you can read online. Prologue Saturday night I was a voice inside my own head. At first I assumed it was my own subconscious. Or it was because I was losing my temper, since it seemed to happen the most when I was upset or annoyed, especially with Mom or Madame Veronique. And by then it was too late. Frustration, bloodlust, and the need to find Nicholas after he went missing made me push too hard.
And again, I was too late. Everything went red, then white. I fell through space. There was no up or down, no gravity, nothing to cling to. I was clinging to a cliff that might as well have been made of glass. Everything was too bright. Vertigo tilted through me, and I jerked back into my body, but only for a brief moment. Just long enough to see Lucy being dragged through the trees, to see Nicholas covered in blood, to see him bite Lucy on my command. I fell for a long time. Chapter 1 Lucy Saturday night The Drake farmhouse was like the chimpanzee enclosure at the zoo when feeding time was late.
You know, if all the chimpanzees were undead. And insane. The kitchen was crammed with dark-haired, fiercely scowling Drakes.
Liam was drinking brandy, and beside him, Helena looked hollow with fury. Aunt Hyacinth had finally lifted the veil off her hat, and her scarred cheeks were pale.
Uncle Geoffrey was searching through notebooks, and the brothers crowded onto the available ladder-back chairs. My cousin Christabel, newly turned, stood flattened against the wall, wide-eyed. They were untamed, like thunder and lightning in a glass jar. You just knew, sooner or later, the jar would shatter into pieces. Right now, exploding Drakes were actually low on my list of priorities. Not a good sign. She was nearest to the door and was the first to notice me.
Shelves: young-adult , paranormal , series , release This Drake Chronicle has done a complete since the last book. Goodbye to the cutesie, lighthearted fun of falling in love - super fast - with vampires and hello to a scary, creepy and surprisingly deep novel.. There is a whole lot more viscous blood sucking to say the least. Come back five books later! The plot was also awesome but only when I finally remembered what had happened in the last book, I was seriously lost in the beginning of Blood Moon but once I remembered - finally - and got into it I got it in the end.

Blood Moon by Alyxandra Harvey, now you can read online. I was punchy from fatigue and had what felt like an adrenaline hangover. And not only was I covered in ashes and bruises from fighting feral Hel-Blar vampires and blowing up a ghost town, but I was sure there was some kind of mistake. Well, usually. She looked so wispy and pale she was practically translucent, except for the blue veins that traced her collarbone.
